This keynote address from the former Deputy Prime Minister of The Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra focused on the rapidly changing geopolitical climate. The speech highlighted how open economies are being challenged by geopolitical competitors in overt and covert ways, and called on like-minded partners to cooperate on setting globally agreed upon rules and norms. The former Deputy Prime Minister also spoke about the lessons Europe can learn from the Indo-Pacific region on reducing strategic dependencies and mitigating risks.
