This session began with introductory remarks from Dr Yuriy Sak, Advisor to Ukraine’s Minister for Defence. The remarks were followed by a panel discussion reflecting on the key lessons learned from Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine after more than a year of fighting. The discussion explored the changing shape of modern warfare, including the use of technology, the role that private industry has played in the conflict, and the impact of the war on the ideas and institutions of collective security. This session also featured a keynote address from the Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas.
