Global Technology Trends: The Nexus Between Technology, Geopolitics and National Security
This session began with introductory remarks from Dr Michael Horowitz, Director of the Emerging Capabilities Policy Office in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy in the United States. The remarks outlined how the US Department of Defence is thinking about the intersection of technological change and geopolitical competition, and what it means for the security environment. The remarks were followed by a panel discussion exploring how technology is impacting national security, how corporations are aligning their products to meet national security goals, and more.
